The African Arts Institute (AAI), a nonprofit organization welcomed new updates of AAI’s bylaws in line with the Nonprofit Incorporation Act (ONCA) for Ontario. Hence a review, integration, and adoption are ongoing in the various sections of the policies. We are glad the changes will reflect that of Ontario’s new Nonprofit Incorporation Act (ONCA).

In November 2025, Ontario Arts Council representatives attended Quinte Arts Council’s Arts Recognition Awards, and presented our President, Isaac Akrong, with a certificate of recognition for contributions to the arts in Ontario. Attendees included the Hon. Stan Cho, MPP and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming; Typer Allsopp, MPP Bay of Quinte; Chris Malette, MP Bay of Quinte; and Neil Ellis, Mayor of Belleville.
